Cost Control Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Control Engineer to develop and implement cost‑control procedures, reporting standards and governance frameworks for large‑scale construction and infrastructure projects. The role will oversee project budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow management, ensuring financial performance aligns with approved baselines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project cost‑control procedures, reporting standards and governance frameworks.
• Manage and monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, accruals and cash flows against approved baselines.
• Review, validate and consolidate cost reports, dashboards and variance analyses for senior management.
• Identify cost deviations, investigate causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Evaluate financial impact of variations, change requests, claims and scope changes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and periodic cost‑review processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with planning, commercial, contracts, finance, procurement and technical teams to maintain accurate cost information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance or a related discipline (Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus).
• Minimum 12 years of experience in cost control, project controls or commercial management, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• Proven experience on large‑scale infrastructure, construction, mixed‑use, hospitality or mega‑development projects.
