Country Communications Director

About the role

Valeo is seeking a senior communications leader to shape and execute its corporate and government communication strategy across Egypt. The role will drive brand storytelling, manage media relations, and act as the primary liaison with regulators and public stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive PR and communication strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead corporate storytelling, brand positioning, and thought‑leadership across media and digital channels.
• Manage media relations, including press releases, interviews, crisis communications and media kits.
• Oversee creation of executive speeches, website content, newsletters and campaign materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators and industry councils.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Egypt and advise senior leadership on policy impact.
• Design crisis‑communication protocols and lead response efforts.
• Create internal communication programs that reinforce culture, transparency and employee engagement.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, operations and executive teams to ensure strategic alignment.
• Manage external agencies such as PR firms and government‑relations consultants.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations and government relations, preferably in a technology‑driven environment.
• Deep knowledge of Egypt’s regulatory, media and public‑policy landscape, especially for technology and digital platforms.
• Proven track record of leading corporate storytelling, media relations and crisis communications.
• Experience engaging with government entities and influencing public policy.
