Data Center Presales Engineer

About the role

The Data Center Presales Engineer will support the design and positioning of data‑center solutions, including servers, storage, virtualization, hyper‑converged infrastructure and backup systems. Working closely with senior engineers and the sales team, you will translate customer requirements into technical proposals and help deliver compelling presentations and proofs‑of‑concept.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing data‑center solutions (servers, storage, virtualization, backup).
• Prepare solution sizing, basic architecture diagrams and Bill of Materials.
• Participate in customer meetings, presentations, demos, workshops and PoC engagements.
• Gather technical requirements and translate them into actionable inputs under guidance.
• Collaborate with enterprise vendor partners (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, VMware, Veeam, Nutanix, etc.) to stay aligned with latest technologies.
• Support technical hand‑over to delivery teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in presales engineering, technical support or infrastructure roles focused on data‑center technologies.
• Advanced vendor certifications (e.g., Dell, HPE, VMware, Nutanix, Veeam, Veritas) are a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
