Demi Chef de Partie - Hot Kitchen

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which operates more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels and 10,000 restaurants, is looking for a Demi Chef de Partie for its hot kitchen in 6th of October City, Egypt. The role works under the supervision of the Chef de Partie and covers all hot station operations, including grilling, sautéing and sauce preparation, in a fast-paced kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot dishes according to recipes and plating standards
• Manage the hot station, keeping equipment maintained and organised
• Cook meat, poultry and proteins with precision and consistency
• Prepare sauces, gravies and hot accompaniments to specification
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Assist the Chef de Partie in training and mentoring junior staff
• Monitor hot station inventory and coordinate with other stations for synchronized service
• Plate and present dishes, keep the workstation clean and follow kitchen protocols
• Help with menu development and special events as needed

Required profile

• Proven experience in a professional hot kitchen station (minimum 1-2 years)
• Previous hospitality experience
• Good English; additional languages are a plus
• Shift flexibility, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
• Culinary training or apprenticeship preferred

• Inventory management and food costing (preferred)
• Contemporary plating and presentation (preferred)
