Deputy Head of Electrical Department – Industrial Maintenance

About the role

Galal Paper is seeking a Deputy Head of the Electrical Department to lead and supervise all electrical maintenance activities within its Qalyub factory. The role ensures reliable operation of equipment, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical maintenance tasks performed by engineers and technicians.
• Assign shifts, monitor execution, and ensure availability of spare parts.
• Implement and follow preventive and periodic maintenance plans for equipment, transformers, and low‑voltage panels.
• Handle emergency breakdowns, coordinate rapid response, and reduce production losses.
• Prepare technical maintenance reports, analyze root causes, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain continuous operation and participate in development projects.
• Report performance, issues, and improvement plans to the Head of Department and act as department head during their absence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably in paper manufacturing.
• Proven experience with electric motors, distribution panels, control systems, and transformers.
• Hands‑on knowledge of VFD, PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults, read engineering drawings and electrical schematics, and develop preventive/corrective plans.
• Strong commitment to occupational health and safety.
• Residency in Qalyubia Governorate.
