Deputy Head of Inclusion

About the role

The Deputy Head of Inclusion works closely with the Head of Inclusion to foster an inclusive learning environment for all students. This senior position supports the development and delivery of policies for Additional Educational Needs (AEN), English as an Additional Language (EAL), safeguarding, and school counselling services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Inclusion in creating and implementing inclusion policies aligned with the school’s strategic goals.
• Collaborate with AEN, EAL, Safeguarding, and School Counsellor teams, supporting staff performance reviews and professional development.
• Contribute to the design and execution of inclusive education plans, working with teachers, parents, and specialists.
• Support safeguarding initiatives, ensuring compliance with school policies and training staff on safety procedures.
• Promote inclusive practices across the school and maintain strong communication with parents.
• Analyse data to monitor the effectiveness of inclusion programmes and prepare impact reports.
• Build relationships with external agencies, representing the school at inclusion‑related events and conferences.

Required profile

• Degree in Education or a related field.
• Fluent English communication (native‑level proficiency).
• Proven experience in inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs.
• Experience in team management and inclusion initiatives.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.
