Desktop Support Engineer (Level 1) – Cairo, Egypt

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer to join our Cairo team. You will provide end‑user deskside and onsite IT support, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, printer and connectivity issues on desktops, laptops, handheld devices and peripherals.
• Install, configure and image Windows 7/10/11 systems and support Microsoft Office applications.
• Provide smart‑hands support for network and datacenter equipment, including cabling, patching, rack‑and‑stack, hardware replacement and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Manage user administration tasks such as Active Directory account creation, mailbox and distribution list management, and SCCM deployments.
• Perform remote support using tools like Bomgar, WebEx and Remote Desktop, and maintain conference‑room AV equipment.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows 7/10/11 installation, configuration, troubleshooting and desktop support.
• Proven experience delivering smart‑hands support for network and datacenter hardware.
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, Windows imaging and Office suite troubleshooting.
• Experience with remote support tools (Bomgar, WebEx, Remote Desktop) and mobile device support (iOS/Android).
