Electrical Engineer – Lighting Control & CBS

About the role

Electro For International Trading is seeking a full‑time Electrical Engineer to join its Cairo team. The role focuses on designing, developing and testing electrical systems for high‑end lighting projects, including lighting control and central battery systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review lighting control and Central Battery System (CBS) layouts, schematics and control logic.
• Develop wiring diagrams, single line diagrams (SLDs) and integration plans with BMS, DALI, KNX or DMX systems.
• Supervise installation, configuration and commissioning to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Program system scenes, perform interface testing (DALI, DMX, BACnet, Modbus) and prepare material submittals, method statements and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants and site teams for inspections, testing and approvals, and provide technical support during handover and operation phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in lighting control and CBS design & commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards (EN 50172, EN 60598‑2‑22, IEC).
• Excellent coordination, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• DALI, KNX, DMX and CBS protocols.
• AutoCAD and Dialux.
• Lighting control software and BMS integration.
• BACnet and Modbus interface testing.
