Electrical Site Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Site Engineer to lead the execution of electrical installations on construction sites, covering power distribution, lighting, and ELV/fire alarm systems. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will ensure work complies with specifications, schedules and budgets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical installation activities (cabling, containment, distribution boards, lighting, ELV/fire alarm) performed by in‑house crews and subcontractors.
• Coordinate electrical work with civil, architectural and mechanical trades, flagging clashes and sequencing issues.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule, report constraints and propose corrective actions.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals, raise RFIs where design gaps exist.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections (WIR/MIR), maintain test packs and ensure timely NCR closure.
• Support testing, commissioning and preparation of hand‑over documentation.
• Prepare daily and weekly site reports, track material consumption and identify waste.
• Assist in snag identification and drive closure before project hand‑over.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Power) with Engineers Syndicate membership.
• 2‑4 years of site execution experience on residential or commercial building projects.
• Working knowledge of low‑voltage power distribution, lighting and ELV/fire alarm systems.
• Good command of English and strong site coordination and reporting abilities.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (Revit MEP is a plus).
• WIR/MIR/NCR workflow management.
• Basic testing and commissioning procedures.
• Preparation of hand‑over documentation.
• Understanding of Egyptian electrical codes and safety standards.
