Finance Operations Manager (German Speakers)

About the role

PwC's Cairo Technology and Innovation Centre, which delivers technology solutions such as SAP and Oracle, cybersecurity, data analytics, custom development and cloud services, is looking for a Finance Operations Manager fluent in German. The manager runs the day-to-day delivery of finance engagements for the Finance Service Tower, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and holding accountability for service-level performance. The role also contributes to the Finance Managed Services strategic plans and programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of finance engagements, including oversight of key customer deliverables
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions across end-to-end processes such as procure to pay, record to report, order to cash and general ledger
• Demonstrate sound understanding of financial reporting, risk and controls
• Complete quality reviews and audits against policies, procedures, compliance standards and customer expectations
• Hold accountability for SLA / OLA compliance within the engagement team
• Apply analytical and financial modelling skills and interpret financial data
• Manage workload and report progress and escalations, and coach and mentor team members
• Build relationships with colleagues and client teams, implement corrective actions and lead quality improvement initiatives
• Help implement and adapt to new processes and contribute to Finance Managed Services plans and programs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Fluency in German (written and spoken) and proficiency in English
• Proven experience in finance and/or accounting roles
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Accounting and financial reporting standards, financial statement preparation and analysis
