Foundational Learning Consultant – Remote (Egypt)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior consultant to provide technical leadership and project management for its Foundational Learning portfolio in Egypt. The consultant will work remotely, coordinating closely with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education (MoETE) to design, quality‑assure, and scale evidence‑based learning interventions across primary, preparatory and TVET levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, planning and implementation packages for scaling Foundational Learning programmes in partnership with MoETE.
• Coordinate timelines, stakeholders and deliverables across UNICEF and key partners to ensure coherent, high‑quality and timely delivery.
• Establish performance monitoring, quality‑assurance processes and documentation to guide effective implementation and scale‑up.
• Integrate Ed‑Tech solutions and blended learning approaches to expand reach and improve learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, International Development or Humanitarian Studies (Master’s degree is a strong asset).
• 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in foundational learning, early‑grade education or adolescent remediation programmes.
• Proven experience co‑designing large‑scale education interventions and managing multi‑stakeholder projects.
