Freelance Site Manager – High-Speed Rail OCS

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to lead the installation of High‑Speed Rail Overhead Contact Systems (OCS) on a major international railway project in Cairo. The role combines hands‑on technical leadership with full responsibility for on‑site personnel and subcontractor coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Overall management of High‑Speed OCS installation activities across multiple work fronts.
• Lead daily site operations, ensuring drawings and specifications are accurately implemented.
• Supervise subcontractors and installation teams, monitoring quality, safety, progress and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance on OCS installation methods, catenary tensioning, registration and best practices.
• Resolve technical issues on‑site and challenge installation approaches to meet schedule and performance targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years dedicated experience with High‑Speed Rail OCS (operating >200 km/h).
• Proven background as Site Manager, Construction Manager or Senior Supervisor on railway electrification projects.
• Strong leadership and contractor‑management capabilities in multicultural environments.
• Fluent English communication skills.
