Fresh Graduate Scientist (French Speaker)

About the role

This entry‑level position provides technical and coordination support across a broad range of environmental projects. It is ideal for a recent graduate who wants exposure to the full project lifecycle, from proposal development and desktop research to data management and technical reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist project managers and senior staff with project planning, proposal development, scheduling, document control and general coordination.
• Conduct desktop research and support environmental assessment, permitting and regulatory compliance activities, including stakeholder tracking and preparation of engagement materials.
• Support Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, field sampling programs, data compilation and remediation‑related tasks under supervision.
• Compile, QA/QC and manage environmental datasets; provide GIS mapping inputs and create environmental graphics.
• Draft, format, proofread and consolidate technical reports, tables, figures and appendices; aid project close‑out documentation and archiving.
• Assist with data analysis, dashboards and reporting tools as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Geography or a related field.
• Bilingual in French and English.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities; capable of handling multiple priorities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative and support a variety of technical and coordination tasks.
