General Accountant (Full‑Time, On‑site)

About the role

We are looking for a General Accountant to join our team at Wham Clinics in San Stefano, Alexandria. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities and ensuring financial accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate posting of all financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather and verify financial information.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2–5 years of experience as a General Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
