Global Procurement Senior Buyer

About the role

The Global Procurement Senior Buyer will lead sourcing activities for direct categories, focusing on corrugates and flexible packaging within a fast‑moving consumer goods environment. You will act as the primary liaison between suppliers, internal stakeholders and the broader procurement function to drive cost efficiency, quality, and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Update and cleanse price lists and SAP master data in real time.
• Solicit quotations, prepare bid comparisons and obtain approvals.
• Lead dispute resolution on material supply, quality, invoicing and payments.
• Prepare monthly supplier scorecards and benchmark performance against industry standards.
• Support new supplier development and represent procurement in cross‑functional innovation projects.
• Negotiate category contracts, create and maintain SAP contracts, and track productivity projects.
• Evaluate sourcing strategies, monitor market conditions and contribute to strategic sourcing analyses.
• Maintain commodity price and inflation/deflation databases and support quarterly and annual procurement reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in direct category sourcing, preferably in FMCG corrugates or flexible packaging.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High financial acumen and ability to manage multiple assignments.
