Operational Excellence Engineer – Power Generation

About the role

The Operational Excellence Engineer will drive efficiency across Siemens Energy’s power generation services in Cairo. You will identify process gaps, lead improvement initiatives, and ensure strict safety and compliance standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze existing operational processes to pinpoint inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence initiatives.
• Maintain full compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Create, standardize, and update documentation for procedures and improvement projects.
• Provide training and coaching on continuous‑improvement tools, operational excellence principles, and safety practices.
• Facilitate workshops and awareness sessions to strengthen team capabilities.
• Establish performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems to monitor progress.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
• Leadership experience in the power generation sector or similar industrial environment.
• Technical knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators.
• Proven track record implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or operational‑excellence methodologies.
• Strong commitment to safety standards and experience promoting a safety‑first culture.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management, and training abilities.
• Organizational and analytical skills with experience in performance tracking and operational planning.
