Government Sales & Tenders Specialist

About the role

The Government Sales & Tenders Specialist will lead the identification, development, and follow‑up of government sales opportunities and tenders in Saudi Arabia, turning them into qualified sales opportunities and actual business for SMSUP.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor Saudi government procurement platforms, project announcements and vendor lists to identify upcoming opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with government entities, procurement departments, contractors and decision‑makers.
• Manage vendor registration, pre‑qualification and supplier onboarding requirements.
• Review tender and RFQ documents, assess commercial potential and coordinate required information with internal departments.
• Track the full opportunity cycle from identification to purchase order, coordinating with Sales, Finance, Factory Operations and other teams.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of government opportunities and provide regular pipeline reports.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in government sales, business development, tendering, bid management or related commercial functions.
• Experience dealing with Saudi government entities, tenders or B2G business, preferably with Etimad or Saudi procurement processes.
• Strong business development mindset, proactive opportunity discovery and excellent stakeholder‑management skills.
• Excellent Arabic writing and communication skills and good business English.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
