Head Bartender

About the role

Accor is hiring a Head Bartender in Cairo for a full-time position. The role covers the overall operation of the bar, including service, staff coordination, inventory, training and quality control.

Key responsibilities

• Perform, implement and monitor the general services offered in all bars, and assist the head bartender in coordinating the bar and its staff.
• Ensure repairs of technical breakdowns in the bar units and maintain departmental equipment.
• Control daily preparations and special-event preparations, and consolidate relationships between departmental employees.
• Assist with the monthly inventory count and report results to the Food and Beverage Manager, and identify daily beverage consumption needs.
• Monitor backup beverage storage, par stock levels and availability of stock.
• Organise customer greeting, seating and dismissal, and develop and deliver training programmes for the department.
• Monitor staff work, meet daily with senior managers, listen to employee issues and report them up, and follow the operational standards set by the Food and Beverage Manager.
• Forward the Food and Beverage Manager's orders to bar personnel and carry out quality management and food safety responsibilities.
• Carry out other duties assigned by managers and hotel management, and contribute to environmental protection, energy saving and waste reduction.

Required profile

• At least a high school or vocational diploma.
• At least 4 years of experience in the industry.
• C2 level of English and/or Arabic to communicate and follow technical information.
• Vocational training and seminars.

Required skills

• Knowledge of products and services in the field.
• Ability to integrate and coordinate the unit's operations.
