About the role
Westview International Language School is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Department for Social Studies to join its academic team. The role leads and oversees the academic vision, standards and performance of the department.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Social Studies, History, Geography or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience.
- Previous HOD or academic leadership experience is preferred.
- Experience with the American curriculum is highly preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural school environment.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment and instructional practices.
- Strong leadership and teacher mentoring skills.
- Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
