Head of Information Technology (IT Director)

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Information Technology to lead our IT function across retail, wholesale, warehouse, and manufacturing operations. The role reports to senior management and is responsible for aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee all IT infrastructure, networks, servers, ERP/POS systems, and business applications.
• Lead digital transformation projects, including automation, systems integration, and process digitisation.
• Manage the IT budget, vendor contracts, and technology procurement.
• Ensure data security, cybersecurity policies, and disaster recovery/business continuity plans.
• Supervise and develop the IT team, including network administrators and systems engineers.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve productivity across all operational sites.
• Maintain relationships with software vendors, ERP providers, and external consultants.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and IT governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (Master’s/MBA a plus).
• 12–15+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in retail, manufacturing or textile industries preferred.
• Strong leadership, budgeting and vendor‑management capabilities.
• Bilingual communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL or CISSP are a plus.
