About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the people function at the executive level, reporting directly to the CEO. The role will build the HR infrastructure, leadership team and operating model needed to support a rapidly growing workforce of over 1,000 employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Recruit and manage the heads of Recruitment, Learning & Development, and Compensation & Benefits.
  • Design and implement departmental incentives tied to performance targets.
  • Develop job architecture, headcount model, leveling framework and career pathways, securing executive sign‑off.
  • Establish compensation bands, pay philosophy and multi‑year workforce plans in partnership with the CFO.
  • Set and monitor hiring, retention and progression metrics such as regrettable attrition, internal mobility, time‑to‑fill for leadership roles, engagement and manager effectiveness.
  • Drive ROI from HR investments and build business cases for HRIS, compensation tooling and L&D platforms.
  • Conduct weekly one‑to‑ones with direct reports, walk operational floors for employee feedback, and act as the CEO’s thought partner on people matters.
  • Handle difficult conversations, role eliminations, senior departures and terminations, and draft internal communications on restructures, compensation changes and return‑to‑office policies.
  • Mediate conflicts among senior leaders and facilitate formal resolutions when needed.

Required profile

  • Proven senior HR leadership experience, preferably as an HR Director or Head of HR.
  • Demonstrated ability to build an HR function from the ground up for a 1,000+ employee organization.
  • Strong track record in workforce planning, compensation design, recruitment strategy and talent development.
  • Experience partnering with C‑suite executives, including CEOs and CFOs, on strategic people decisions.
  • Excellent judgment in handling confidential and high‑impact employee matters.
