IGCSE English Teacher

About the role

Luminare Microschool Dahab is seeking a full‑time IGCSE English Teacher to join its on‑site team in Qesm Dahab. The role involves planning, delivering and assessing IGCSE English lessons that develop students' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in line with curriculum standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging IGCSE English lessons, adapting materials for diverse learning needs.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate progress records.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and the wider school community to support individualized learning.
• Participate in project‑based, creative and play‑based activities that reflect the school’s holistic approach.
• Attend staff meetings, professional‑development sessions and school events as required.

Required profile

• Strong background in teaching English at secondary level, preferably with IGCSE or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education or a related field; teaching certification or pedagogical training is a plus.
• Experience or interest in holistic, play‑based and project‑based learning environments, especially those inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
• Ability to create a culturally responsive classroom, manage behaviour positively and promote emotional intelligence.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
