Industrial System Cybersecurity Referent Engineer

About the role

Schneider Electric seeks an Industrial System Cybersecurity Referent Engineer to join its Global Customer Project Operations team. You will work at the intersection of IT, IoT and OT, delivering secure solutions for complex industrial projects and supporting R&D and Services divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements and define secure solution specifications, including costing and technical choices.
• Implement system‑level security measures, design verification tests and ensure traceability of security requirements.
• Manage cybersecurity throughout the project lifecycle, integrating accreditation procedures and maintaining security conditions with customers.
• Conduct periodic organisational and technical audits of information‑system security.
• Contribute to the creation of service offers by sharing knowledge of client applications and market needs.
• Communicate and disseminate expertise internally and with customers.

Required profile

• Degree in Cybersecurity Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial cybersecurity.
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer orientation and ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• IP networking and industrial networks (PLC, SCADA).
• System administration and hardening techniques.
• Cryptography, PKI, network segregation.
• Intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewalls, SIEM solutions.
• Knowledge of standards such as ANSSI, LPM, ISO/IEC 27001/2, IEC 62443, NIS.
• Familiarity with risk‑analysis methodologies (ISO/IEC 27005, IEC 62443, EBIOS, NIST).
