Internal Audit Manager

About the role

The Internal Audit Manager will lead the development and execution of a risk‑based audit plan across all business units, ensuring compliance, detecting fraud, and improving controls.

Key responsibilities

• Design and obtain approval for an annual risk‑based internal audit plan covering branches, warehouses, fleet, sales, finance and IT.
• Audit warehouse operations, vehicle fleet, sales processes, customer receivables, rejected cheques and financial processes for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Assess operational, financial and compliance risks, maintain the risk register and follow up on mitigation actions.
• Perform IT general controls audits on SAP user access, segregation of duties, master‑data changes and data integrity.
• Conduct planned and surprise audit visits, investigate suspected fraud or policy violations and produce evidence‑based reports.
• Issue audit reports with findings, risk ratings and recommendations, and monitor corrective action implementation.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the internal audit team while coordinating with external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related field; professional certification (CIA, CMA, CPA, ESAA) is a plus.
• 10‑12 years of internal audit experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or FMCG distribution with field audits of branches, warehouses and sales operations.
• Proven track record in fraud investigation and auditing receivables, collections and cheques.
