Internal Audit Supervisor – Consulting

About the role

The Internal Audit Supervisor will lead audit engagements for a range of clients, ensuring robust assessment of internal controls, governance and risk management processes. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the role combines hands‑on audit work with mentorship of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise internal audit engagements across multiple industries.
• Assess internal controls, governance frameworks and risk management processes.
• Conduct operational, financial, compliance and process audits.
• Prepare audit plans, risk assessments and detailed audit reports.
• Identify control weaknesses and provide practical improvement recommendations.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure implementation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies and industry standards.
• Support clients in strengthening governance and internal control environments.
• Supervise and mentor junior auditors and consultants.
• Coordinate with client management and senior stakeholders throughout engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in internal audit, risk advisory, external audit, compliance or consulting.
• Preferred certifications: CIA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, SOCPA or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Internal Audit Standards, Risk Management and Corporate Governance.
• Excellent report‑writing and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
