Internal Auditor

About the role

Egast is looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join its team in Beheira, Egypt. The role ensures effective internal controls, compliance, risk management and operational efficiency across the company. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits across all departments according to the approved audit plan, covering finance and accounting, HR, procurement, warehouses, sales, export, logistics, operations, production, maintenance, farms, stations and supporting functions.
• Review workflows and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and assess segregation of duties, responsibilities and internal controls.
• Review financial and operational transactions and supporting documents, including expenses, purchases, invoices, inventory, assets, sales, collections, revenues and expenditures.
• Carry out periodic and surprise stock, asset and custody counts.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems, identify weaknesses, non-compliance, errors and deviations, and recommend corrective actions to prevent errors, fraud and misuse of resources.
• Prepare audit reports with findings, risks, root causes and recommendations, present them to management and senior management, follow up on corrective actions and close audit findings.
• Maintain organized and confidential audit working papers and records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant internal audit experience.
• Experience auditing financial, operational and administrative functions.
• Previous experience in agricultural, industrial, commercial or export companies is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and strong reporting, communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management and audit procedures.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
