Senior AR Accountant

About the role

A Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant position based in Nasr City, Egypt. The role covers the full AR cycle, from invoicing and collections to reporting and closing, and works closely with Treasury, General Ledger and Sales.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, reconciliations and transaction posting.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Prepare and analyze aging reports and escalate overdue accounts.
• Generate detailed financial reports for the Sales and Customer Success teams.
• Analyze large datasets with advanced Excel tools and develop dashboards to improve receivable visibility.
• Coordinate with Treasury, General Ledger and Sales teams.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support month-end and year-end closing.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors and identify process improvements and automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, revenue recognition and financial governance.
• Nice to have: professional certification (DipIFR, CMA, ACCA or CPA), experience in a group of companies.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Nice to have: Power BI or SQL, reporting automation and dashboard creation.
