IT Application Support Engineer

About the role

Hypercell is seeking an IT Application Support Engineer to join its Cairo office. The professional will deliver expert‑level support for designated enterprise applications, ensuring smooth operation, rapid issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line and advanced troubleshooting for assigned applications, performing root‑cause analysis and timely resolution.
• Execute regular application maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades and transport management.
• Coordinate incident handling, manage workloads and adhere to service‑level agreements.
• Gather business requirements, design enhancements and implement new features.
• Identify recurring problems, conduct problem‑management activities and implement permanent fixes.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, user manuals and knowledge‑base articles.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies, including user provisioning and two‑factor authentication integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• 4‑5 years of experience in IT application support, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to manage incidents and problems in a production environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience with core‑banking systems (Finacle) and SAP modules is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• SQL and relational‑database troubleshooting.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Application patching, upgrades and transport management.
• Incident and problem management processes.
• Finacle banking application (preferred).
• SAP BASIS, SAP FI/CO, SAP ABAP or SAP S/4HANA (certification preferred).
• Two‑factor authentication integration.
