IT Engineer – R&D Support (New Cairo)

About the role

This position plays a vital role in a fast‑growing R&D site in New Cairo, providing day‑to‑day IT support for engineers, scientists, HR and other internal teams while also extending assistance to European offices. You will be the primary point of contact for all desk‑side technology issues.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, diagnose and resolve hardware and software incidents for end users.
• Install, test, configure and maintain laptops, video‑conference equipment, printers, network devices and other peripherals.
• Provide first‑ and second‑tier remote and onsite support for Windows and Linux client and server environments.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date documentation, user guides and knowledge‑base articles.
• Troubleshoot network services such as DHCP, DNS and LAN/WAN connectivity.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a desire to continuously expand technical skills.
• Positive, forward‑thinking attitude and ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in both Arabic and English.
• Team player who can also work independently.

Required skills

• Administration of Microsoft 365.
• VMware vSphere (7/8) and Horizon View.
• Windows 10, Windows 11 and Windows Server 2016+.
• Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and macOS support.
• Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, LAN and WAN topologies.
• Basic understanding of NetApp and Pure Storage systems.
• Experience with Veeam backup solutions.
• Familiarity with Cisco WebEx hardware and software.
• Exposure to AV and client‑side cybersecurity tools.
