Java Software Engineer

About the role

The Java Software Engineer will work closely with product and design teams to translate end‑user requirements into pragmatic, high‑quality technical solutions. You will be part of an agile squad that delivers new functionality continuously while maintaining a robust, scalable codebase.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based services that differentiate the client’s technology stack.
• Collaborate with teammates to implement user stories, write automated tests, and ship improvements on a regular cadence.
• Resolve technical dependencies by coordinating with internal IT and other engineering groups.
• Contribute to code reviews, refactoring efforts, and architectural discussions around micro‑services and API design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 0‑6 years of total software development experience, depending on the level (Engineer I‑III).
• Strong understanding of JVM languages, especially Java 8+ and Kotlin.
• Experience building and securing RESTful APIs in large‑scale distributed systems.
