About the role
StudentGator is seeking a motivated Junior Back End Developer to join its Giza office. You will work on server‑side components, build and maintain FastAPI services, and ensure smooth integration with front‑end applications supporting international students applying to French universities.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise FastAPI endpoints and related server‑side logic.
- Maintain and query databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with front‑end developers to integrate APIs and deliver seamless user experiences.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- At least 6 months of professional experience in back‑end development.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a cross‑functional team.
Required skills
- FastAPI framework.
- Python programming language.
- Version control with Git.
- Object‑Oriented Programming concepts.
- Database management and API integration.
