Junior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

CSI Global is seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to support its senior engineering team on solar PV and BESS projects across the GCC and MENA region. The role involves reviewing EPC contractor designs, performing calculations, and preparing technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review EPC contractor electrical drawings, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
• Perform electrical calculations such as cable sizing, voltage drop, short‑circuit analysis and load‑flow assessments.
• Prepare technical review comment sheets and transmittals for EPC contractors.
• Maintain the electrical engineering submittal register and monitor response deadlines.
• Assist senior engineer in drafting technical reports and design review documents.
• Research applicable codes and standards for the project’s electrical scope.
• Support preparation of RFI responses for the onsite team.
• Participate in internal engineering review meetings and record action items.
• Contribute to Owner’s Engineer technical deliverables as directed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical engineering design.
• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems and power engineering principles.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical design software (advantageous).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
