Junior Structural Engineer – Design & Analysis

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team at e.construct. The role involves supporting senior engineers on a variety of structural projects, including bridges, high‑rise buildings and precast concrete systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in preparing designs using current codes and standards.
• Perform basic structural calculations and design tasks under supervision.
• Use FEM design software and in‑house spreadsheets, verify outputs and produce manual calculations when needed.
• Prepare material take‑offs, cost estimates and scheduling data.
• Draft reports and presentation material as directed.
• Coordinate with drafting staff to develop detailed structural drawings.
• Follow company procedures for design review and documentation.
• Contribute to other engineering tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• 0‑3 years of experience in a consultancy environment.
• Strong theoretical foundation in structural analysis.
• Ability to work independently, research technical solutions and follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Resilience under tight deadlines and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with FEM design software.
• Ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets for calculations.
• Basic coding knowledge (e.g., scripting for automation) – optional but valued.
