Lab Analyst (1-Year Contract)

About the role

The Lab Analyst works under the direction of the laboratory manager to ensure compliance with The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) specifications (KORE) by analysing and inspecting incoming ingredients, merchandise, packaging materials, intermediate and finished products, and process verification samples. The post also helps maintain the laboratory's management system (ISO 17025, KORE and the Integrated Management System) and covers lab logistics such as procurement, purchasing and stock monitoring. It is a one-year contract based in Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Test and report incoming ingredients, merchandise, finished products and packaging materials against TCCC specifications.
• Support compliance with KORE, IMS and ISO 17025 requirements in their respective areas.
• Support commissioning, validation, calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory test equipment and instruments.
• Monitor quality of test results and implement QC checks.
• Run the Cairo CP Laboratory Sensory Program routines.
• Contribute to continual improvement of the laboratory's management system and processes.
• Handle lab logistics: procurement, purchasing, stock monitoring, receiving and storage of supplies.
• Maintain Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and monitor laboratory environmental conditions.
• Follow EOSH and security policies, and take part in safety programmes (safety cards, BBS, incident investigation, risk assessment).
• Carry out process shelf-life extension testing.
• Set up the WTMM and develop a career plan with the lab manager, and adhere to the workplace rights policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or Pharmacy.
• 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Awareness of wet chemistry and an analytical or instrumental background.
• Basic knowledge of microbiological testing.
• Knowledge of statistics.
