Lead Data Scientist - AI & Machine Learning

About the role

Integrant is looking for a Lead Data Scientist focused on AI and Machine Learning in Cairo. The role sits within a selective talent pipeline and involves designing and deploying end-to-end machine learning and generative AI solutions, mentoring juniors and collaborating with engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Extract insights from structured, semi-structured and unstructured data using mathematics, statistics, machine learning and AI techniques.
• Design, develop, evaluate and deploy predictive and prescriptive machine learning models.
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and intelligent agent-based applications.
• Develop scalable model deployment and monitoring solutions using MLOps best practices, and monitor model performance and concept drift.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to productionize AI applications and mentor junior Data Scientists and ML engineers.
• Lead technical discussions, knowledge transfer sessions and client-facing AI engagements, and stay current with emerging AI and MLOps technologies.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years in Data Science, Machine Learning and MLOps.
• MSc in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering); PhD preferred.
• Experience mentoring, coaching or leading technical team members.
• Nice to have: leading AI initiatives, working with international clients, and defining AI architecture and standards.

Required skills

• Machine learning (classification, regression, clustering, feature engineering) and deep learning; Python and ML frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch.
• Production AI: deploying models on Azure, AWS, GCP or Databricks, and using Azure ML, AWS SageMaker or Google Vertex AI.
• MLOps: CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, experiment tracking, MLflow, FastAPI, Streamlit.
• Generative AI: RAG, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Milvus, Azure AI Search), LLM orchestration (LangChain, LangGraph), agentic AI (LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen), prompt engineering and evaluation (LangSmith, RAGAS).
• Nice to have: reinforcement learning, optimization, knowledge graphs, large-scale data pipelines, Databricks and Apache Spark.
