Lead Software Developer in Test (SDET)

About the role

Integrant, a provider of advanced business solutions for U.S. enterprises in highly regulated industries, is hiring a Lead Software Developer in Test (SDET) in Cairo. The role manages and oversees SDET teams, sets testing roadmaps covering automation and manual testing, collaborates with stakeholders on quality benchmarks and guides the adoption of effective testing methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements and design of systems to be implemented
• Design and review test cases and test scripts, and set execution priorities with impact analysis
• Recommend, implement and use test management, defect management, performance and automation tools
• Log issues and track them until closure, and report project issues and schedule impacts to the project manager
• Work in an agile, self-organizing Scrum team and own the testing and quality of the team
• Write unit tests for APIs and the business layer, enhance code testability, fix minor defects and document API endpoints
• Participate in code reviews and implement test support features
• Create test plans, run tests and deliver comprehensive test reports

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in software testing
• Experience with OOP and one or more programming languages (C#, Java, JavaScript, SQL)
• Hands-on experience with UI, system/integration, API, performance and agile testing
• Good knowledge of test planning, test strategy, estimation techniques and Agile methodology
• Ability to create workflows with rules and guardrails, and proficiency in testing AI and agentic applications
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in English

Required skills

• Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
• Mocking frameworks (e.g. Mockito, NMock) and design patterns are a plus
• ISTQB CT-GenAI certification highly preferred
