Learning & Development Supervisor

About the role

The Learning & Development Supervisor will partner with managers and department heads to identify training needs, design learning solutions, and deliver effective programs across the hotel. This role supports both employee growth and compliance with safety and hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with managers and division heads to discuss staffing, recruitment, and training requirements.
• Conduct needs assessments and develop learning strategies and plans.
• Design, develop, and produce training materials such as workbooks, manuals, job aids, and posters.
• Prepare training classrooms, set up equipment, and deliver interactive training sessions.
• Monitor departmental compliance with safety training and orientation programs.
• Assist management with hiring, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards.
• Maintain professional communication, handle guest interactions, and support quality expectations.
• Perform routine physical tasks, use computer systems for documentation, and lift objects up to 10 lb.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
