Logistics Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to strategically lead the end‑to‑end supply chain for project materials, ensuring timely, cost‑effective delivery from international ports to site locations within the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all logistics operations within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, complying with local customs, tax incentives and investment laws.
• Coordinate importation of pivot components, overseeing movement from global ports to SCZone hubs and project sites.
• Direct customs clearance processes to minimize demurrage and leverage VAT and duty exemptions.
• Negotiate service level agreements with shipping lines and freight forwarders for priority booking and competitive project‑cargo rates.
• Engineer transport solutions for heavy/oversized cargo, including route surveys and permit acquisition.
• Synchronise sea, air and land freight to create a flexible multi‑modal backbone.
• Implement rigorous lashing, loading and unloading protocols to guarantee zero‑damage delivery.
• Monitor container turnaround at Sokhna and Port Said to control demurrage and detention costs.
• Oversee free‑zone inventory, ensuring accurate documentation for temporary admission or drawback systems.
• Lead HSE initiatives, ensuring compliance with QHSE policies and promoting a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of logistics experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Preferably 15+ years focused on project logistics for industrial or agricultural sectors.
• Proven ability to manage complex, international supply chains and large‑scale cargo movements.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and free‑zone procedures in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
