Logistics Solutions Manager (Oil & Gas) – Africa

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring a Logistics Solutions Manager (Oil & Gas) in Cairo. Based in the Projects Department, the manager designs, develops and deploys integrated logistics solutions for oil and gas clients across the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Translate oil company requirements into integrated logistics solutions, lead feasibility studies, design logistics schemes and material flows, conduct site assessments and prepare execution plans, SOPs, method statements and technical documentation.
• Design shore base operations: size warehouses, pipeyards and workshops, define flows for receiving, inspection, storage, preparation, loadout and backload, and select lifting and cargo-handling equipment.
• Build the mobilisation strategy: define personnel and resource needs, assess internal versus external procurement, and prepare mobilisation plans.
• Develop competitive solutions: build CAPEX and OPEX assumptions, contribute to financial models and business plans, support pricing strategy and technical support during client negotiations.
• Lead the technical tender response, coordinate project, operations, QHSE, legal and finance inputs, and prepare technical proposals.
• Drive implementation: develop the implementation plan, schedule and governance, coordinate deployment, lead readiness reviews and manage the handover to operating teams.
• Support start-up and ramp-up, monitor operational, financial and HSE KPIs and contribute to client performance reviews.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in engineering, logistics, supply chain, transport, industrial engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in oil and gas logistics.
• Proven experience designing and operating shore bases and supporting offshore drilling campaigns.
• Experience in project development, feasibility studies and tenders; experience in Africa is an advantage.
• Fluent French and good command of English; a strong interest in Africa is an advantage.
