Manufacturing Engineer – Rotating Equipment SME

About the role

Immensa is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Subject Matter Expert for rotating equipment to lead the technical execution of pump, compressor, turbine, gearbox and driver projects. Reporting to the Head of Project Management, you will act as the primary interface between Immensa and its supply base, translating design intent into manufacturable, quality‑assured solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret 3D CAD models and 2D GD&T drawings for rotating components and define the optimal manufacturing route (multi‑axis machining, gear cutting, casting, welding, thermal spray, heat treatment, etc.).
• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones and OTIF delivery targets, issuing technical data packages and reviewing supplier process plans.
• Lead design and process reviews, identify technical risks, and implement mitigation strategies across quality, cost and delivery.
• Review inspection and test data (CMM, dynamic balancing, NDT, coating thickness, material certificates) and coordinate non‑conformance disposition.
• Support estimation and tendering by providing manufacturing cost inputs and realistic lead times for rotating equipment scopes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering.
• 5–6 years of experience with rotating equipment in oil & gas, energy or heavy engineering, preferably with an OEM, repair shop or operator.
• Deep knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, shafts, impellers, rotors, casings, seals, bearings and couplings.
• Proven project‑management capability, stakeholder coordination and risk mitigation.

Required skills

• 3D CAD modeling and 2D GD&T interpretation.
• CAM/CNC programming and multi‑axis machining.
• Gear cutting, grinding, casting, forging, welding, thermal spray/HVOF, heat treatment.
• Dynamic balancing, rotor‑dynamic analysis, surface engineering.
• NDT methods (MPI, DPI, UT) and inspection & testing procedures.
• Familiarity with API (610, 611, 617, 682), ASTM and ISO standards.
• Reverse engineering and spare‑parts production.
