Material Planner – Foods

About the role

Unilever is seeking a proactive Material Planner for its Foods division. You will ensure the smooth flow of raw materials and finished goods, supporting production schedules and contributing to the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain material and finished‑goods requirements in SAP, generating MRP planned orders, purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Run and monitor the Integrated Production Management (IPM) model, keeping stock levels optimal and safety stock appropriate.
• Identify and communicate material constraints that could affect production for the next three months.
• Collaborate with suppliers and sourcing teams on forecasts, resolve bottlenecks, and manage on‑time‑in‑full deliveries.
• Plan for expiring or obsolete materials, new product innovations, and project‑related material needs.
• Raise purchase orders, follow up on confirmations, and track shipments of imported materials to avoid production disruptions.
• Coordinate with internal logistics to ensure timely availability of all required packaging and raw materials.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Excellent problem‑solving, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail.
• Ability to analyse data and make informed planning decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP for materials planning.
• Experience with MRP processes and inventory management.
• Familiarity with purchase order creation and supplier coordination.
