Material Planner

About the role

The Material Planner will join the Supply Chain team and act as a central liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and suppliers. Working onsite at the GM office, the role supports manufacturing and warehouse operations, launch execution, scheduling and overall material management.

Key responsibilities

• Review and adjust monthly SAP plans, investigate and resolve MRP deviations at part level.
• Release, communicate and continuously update delivery plans for local suppliers based on production sequences.
• Generate six‑month forecasts for local suppliers and monitor imported material risks, creating action plans with suppliers.
• Monitor daily shortage reports, follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, and manage consignment shipments (CKD, local, PM).
• Conduct regular supplier visits, track material expiry, and support high‑risk shipment recovery.
• Report supplier performance, late deliveries, high‑risk issues, and capacity constraints, and issue Supplier Practical Problem Solving (SPPS) actions.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in material planning or a related supply‑chain function.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Effective communication and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP (including MRP run and planning modules).
