Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who will keep our properties safe, comfortable and operating smoothly. You will lead a team of technicians, drive preventive programmes and support hotel renovation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily maintenance tasks, ensuring the right team is assigned to each job.
• Implement and oversee a preventative maintenance programme to guarantee guest safety and comfort.
• Assist in preparing the departmental budget and tightly control maintenance expenses.
• Lead hotel renovation and other projects, negotiate contracts and ensure timely, on‑budget completion.
• Maintain strong working relationships with external contractors.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in general building maintenance with a focus on mechanical power systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Relevant professional certification or licence where required by law.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to speak the local language(s).
