Mechatronics Engineer

About the role

The Mechatronics Engineer will join Circle K’s technical team in Heliopolis, Cairo, focusing on the design, integration and maintenance of automated production systems. You will work across mechanical, electronic and software domains to deliver reliable, high‑performance solutions for our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate mechanical components with sensors, actuators and electronic control units to create complete systems.
• Design, program and maintain automated assembly lines and robotic arms.
• Develop detailed 3‑D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Program microcontrollers, Arduino platforms and PLCs for real‑time control.
• Build functional prototypes, run simulations and conduct diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose and resolve failures in electrical circuits, software code and hydraulic/pneumatic subsystems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work in design offices, laboratory environments and fast‑paced manufacturing floors.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving capability.

Required skills

• Programming languages: C++, Python, MATLAB.
• CAD tools: SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
• Embedded control: Arduino, PLC programming.
• Industrial communication: CAN bus, SCADA systems.
• Hardware knowledge: circuit board design, sensors.
• Mechanical expertise: kinematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, material strength analysis.
