MEP Engineer – Asset Management (Cairo Festival City)

About the role

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for the efficient technical operation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services at Cairo Festival City. You will ensure uninterrupted shopping centre operations through reliable system performance and proactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for continuous operation.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and promptly resolve faults.
• Manage daily activities of sub‑contractors, consumables and equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems within project frameworks.
• Oversee installation and commissioning activities to meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Supervise and train staff, ensuring compliance with service standards and hygiene requirements.
• Prepare regular performance, maintenance and incident reports for management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in MEP engineering across small to large commercial projects.
• Ability to monitor and supervise installation and commissioning activities.
• Experience managing sub‑contractors and coordinating with external vendors.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, regulations and industry standards.
• Capability to train and develop technical staff.
