Mid Software Testing Engineer

About the role

Geidea is seeking a Mid Software Testing Engineer to join its Egypt team. You will design and execute test cases, ensuring that product releases meet high‑quality standards and align with the company’s testing guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute functional test cases for assigned squads.
• Review test cases created by junior testers and provide feedback.
• Prioritise test cases at squad level and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Report defects, testing status and squad release updates.
• Analyse test results, log bugs and collaborate with senior testers or testing leads.
• Maintain testing estimates accuracy and adhere to defined testing processes.
• Develop automation scripts when required by the squad.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of software testing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• ISTQB certification is preferred.

Required skills

• Microsoft SQL Server and relational database knowledge.
• API testing experience.
• Familiarity with Jira for defect tracking.
• Understanding of testing methodologies (system, integration, regression).
• Automation testing exposure (a plus).
