.NET/C# Developer (Short Term) - Image Processing Systems

About the role

Intetics Inc., a global technology company offering custom software development, distributed teams, quality assessment and digital solutions, is looking for a short-term Senior .NET Engineer. The role focuses on building and maintaining a high-performance image processing system that can handle up to terabytes of 3D images and raster images per day, running 24/7.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high-performance image processing system capable of handling up to terabytes of 3D images and raster images per day, available 24/7.
• Implement algorithms and techniques for efficient image processing and analysis, including image segmentation, feature extraction and object recognition.
• Develop back-end tools and applications to visualize and manipulate 3D images and point cloud data.
• Optimize processing speed and memory usage for maximum efficiency.
• Implement database management solutions to store and retrieve image data efficiently.
• Integrate with embedded devices via the gRPC protocol.
• Collaborate with team members, including microscope hardware engineers, to integrate the image processing system into the overall workflow.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in C# programming (.NET/.NET Core).
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, image processing algorithms and techniques.
• Experience with raster image processing and manipulation.
• Knowledge of image file formats such as TIFF, JPEG and PNG.
• Knowledge of multithreading and parallel processing.
• Experience with SQL and large storage databases (MS SQL or PostgreSQL).
• Nice to have: experience with image processing libraries such as OpenCV, EmguCV or ImageMagick, and with healthcare image processing or Zeiss CZI.
