NOC Engineer – Monitoring

About the role

The NOC Engineer (Monitoring) will continuously oversee the customer's IT infrastructure and services, ensuring high availability and rapid incident response. Working in a 24×7 shift‑based environment, you will be the first line of defense for network, server and system alerts.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network, server and system alerts using designated monitoring tools.
• Identify, acknowledge and log alarms and incidents in the ticketing system.
• Perform basic initial troubleshooting following documented procedures.
• Escalate incidents to appropriate technical support teams when required.
• Record actions taken, status updates and maintain accurate incident documentation.
• Track service availability and report any degradation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly monitoring reports.
• Adhere to operational procedures, escalation matrices and SLA commitments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network or system monitoring.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and IT ticketing systems.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and 24×7 operations.

Required skills

• CCNA certification (preferred).
• ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of networking concepts.
• Experience with monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with IT ticketing systems.
