Operations City Manager – External Fulfilment

About the role

Amazon Worldwide Operations is seeking an Operations City Manager to lead multiple fulfillment sites within the External Fulfilment network. You will own site performance, ensure compliance, and partner with vendors and internal teams to deliver a world‑class customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead city‑level operations, own site scorecards and drive consistent achievement of service, quality and speed KPIs.
• Maintain a strong on‑ground presence through regular site visits and build trusted partnerships with vendors and operational teams.
• Coach and develop vendors and frontline staff, identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
• Own inventory and material availability, manage stock replenishment, inbound quality and conduct regular audits.
• Drive operational readiness for new launches, peak periods, holidays and site closures.
• Lead issue resolution, firefighting and time‑critical recoveries to minimize impact.
• Leverage data and operational tools to conduct daily KPI deep‑dives, detect risks early and make fact‑based decisions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, coordinate cross‑functional escalations and maintain clear communication.
• Conduct site visits across the region and launch new nodes at vendor warehouses; a personal car is required.
