People & Development Supervisor

About the role

The People & Development Supervisor will lead the hotel’s learning and training initiatives, ensuring staff receive the right knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Working closely with the Training Manager, you will shape the training strategy, manage resources, and support employee growth across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the hotel’s training library and coordinate acquisitions of training materials.
• Analyse training needs, prioritize them, and create annual training plans.
• Prepare monthly training reports for the Training Manager.
• Ensure all new and existing employees receive proper orientation, job descriptions, and HR service information.
• Visit on‑the‑job training sessions, assess trainer certifications, and maintain training aids and supplies.
• Coordinate external courses (e.g., food hygiene, HACCP) with suppliers, handling logistics and invoicing.
• Deliver basic to managerial level training on topics such as customer service and interviewing skills.
• Oversee the monthly training budget and monitor its adherence.
• Support the selection, onboarding, and development of interns, trainees, and work‑experience placements.
• Maintain accurate training records in the HR & Training database and recommend policy improvements.
